How much can I load onto my Gift Card?
Virtually any amount can be loaded, we recommend a minimum of $30, up to $1000, if a larger gift or refund is required simply use more Gift Cards to cover the amount.
How long will it take to get my Gift Cards working for me?
Although it varies seasonally, usually a single store installation takes 21 days from date of payment. The larger custom art designs are 4 weeks from acceptance of the final art. The electronic “smarts” are completed at our end and then you use the cards like any other EFTPoS card - Simple Easy Smarter, we like to say.
What is involved with training my staff?
Our electronic Gift Cards are simply another of the electronic cards you are already processing through your EFTPOS equipment. Your staff will easily understand the small differences and find them INCREDIBLY quicker than paper vouchers. It usually takes 10 min to show someone. There is PERMANENT SUPPORT from your sales person and the support desk, with online and phone options.
Can my Gift Cards be used at my other store?
One of the advantages of the electronic “stored-value” card system is that the money is electronically transferred to the card - this means that multiple stores can receive the money without “messing-up” the reconciliation of which store paid for what and which store provided the goods / cash refund, etc.
Once the money is on the card, the sale is recorded where the goods are redeemed.
In the meantime, the store credit is “carried” on the card. This way one organization can service multiple stores without wasting time getting tied up in stock/cash reconciliations. All transactions are recorded with the electronic system so there are many options on how you can track the performance of your cards, Simple Easy Smarter.
Each of the stores can have their own identity printed on the cards
or a generalized store name. The benefit of the separate identity is
that only you will know that the cards can be used at your other
locations, which you can share with the customers as you see fit. For
instance, “Mrs Jones, I have phoned our other store across town and
they have what you want in stock and I have arranged for you to use
your Gift Card there…” Excelling your customer service above your competitors!
Do my Gift Cards expire?
Once Gift Cards are loaded they must be used within 12 months, but the ones in your shop that are waiting to be sold never expire (until loaded). You don’t need to “rotate” the stock of Gift Cards, you can buy new designs as they become available and use any of them whenever you like. For instance, you could order a “Christmas card” which you put on display only at that time of year, because they never expire until you sell them to a customer.
How many times can I use the Gift Card?
Gift Cards are a load once, use many concept, this means that the value which is loaded onto the card cannot be added to and the card can be spent all at one time or a little at a time.
Where can I use the card?
Cards are generally locked to the store they are purchased in. Some cards may be “open” which means any store.
The card can only be used at the store which it was purchased, unless it is “opened” to other branches, outlets, etc.
How do I check the balance of the card?
Cards4all provides a 24 hour service via the internet and by phone to check the card balance.
How private is my Gift Card?
Australia has some of the greatest privacy laws as a consequence there is no way for the shop assistant to “see” the value on or remaining in the Gift Card. It acts just like any debit card the bank issues. Remember that there is 24 hr internet and phone access for your card balance inquiry.
